Blue Hill Memorial Hospital holds an annual 5K road race and one-mile walk on the first Saturday in August.  The 2012 Fun Run will be held on Saturday, August 4.  Registration opens at 7:00 am.  Our low-key, one-mile community walk begins at 8:00 am and our 5K road race begins at 8:30 a.m.

We will be holding our fifth annual event in 2012.  We encourage participants to register as soon as possible using the  form  on this Web site.  Participants can also register on the day of  our event.  We encourage people of all ages and abilities to participate. 

This is a child-friendly event.  In addition to the neighborhood walk and road race, we offer children’s activities.  This is possible as a result of our partnership with the Bay School.

Our annual wellness event coincides with a blueberry festival at a local church, just down the road!  Local and visiting families can enjoy everything from an early morning walk to delicious blueberry pancakes!

Anne Piazza, a local fitness and wellness enthusiast, personal trainer, and coach is the lead volunteer for this project.  Anne holds a year-round training and wellness program for the community and welcomes participation at any time.  Anne's activities in the past have included hikes, boot camps, and a cross-country ski clinic!  For more information call Anne at 266-4338.
