Blue Hill Memorial Hospital’s Dr. James White is a perfectionist in all the right ways.  Dedicated and detail oriented, he expects the best for his patients and delivers outstanding care.  Dr. White joined Blue Hill Memorial Hospital in August of 2008.  Since then, he has been committed to building a strong, multidisciplinary team in Blue Hill that includes physical therapists, emergency department providers, diagnostic imaging technicians, nurses, and more.  All work together closely to deliver the best possible results to patients. 

Through his full-time practice, Blue Hill Orthopedics, Dr. White provides in-office care and surgical service, specializing in minimally invasive total joint replacement, arthroscopy, and general orthopedics, including forefoot reconstruction, bunion procedures and fracture care.  His state-of-the-art training and approaches translate into a shorter recovery time, with reduced risk of complications. 

“I enjoy the outdoors myself, and understand why an active lifestyle is so important to my patients.  My team and I are committed to restoring our patient’s strength and mobility as quickly as we can,” says White.  “After a total hip or knee replacement, most of our patients just have one thing to say.  They wish they’d come to see us sooner!”
