His practice emphasizes accurate diagnoses, rapid referrals for surgical intervention (when appropriate), and comprehensive follow-up care. In caring for his patients, Dr. Desilvey focuses on lifestyle choices and modifications for optimal cardiovascular well-being. Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine is small by design; we wish to offer our patients the most personalized care possible, from a medical expert who offers sensitive and compassionate care.
Services We Provide
We diagnose cardiovascular problems and disease. Most of our tests can be conducted right on the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital campus, using state-of-the-art equipment in our Diagnostic Imaging Department. We help our patients manage their medications, and adopt lifestyle choices that can help them feel better, and prolong their lives. Our patients also benefit from a popular Cardiac Rehabilitation program that is staffed by an experienced nurse. Dr. DeSilvey offers educational programs to assist his patients, their loved ones, and community members who are concerned about maintaining and even improving their cardiovascular health. He also refers patients to other resources at our hospital and within our community.
How to Make An Appointment
We welcome seasonal and year-round members of our community as patients of our practice. Most of our patients come to us following a referral by their primary care provider or another physician. If you believe that you have a cardiac need and do not yet have a primary care provider, please call our office for a personal consultation. We are typically able to see patients within two weeks of a request for an appointment, which means considerably less waiting time than at other, larger practices. While his main office is in Blue Hill, Dr. Desilvey also sees patients at Bucksport Family Medicine, which is located at 58 Main Street (in Bucksport).
In Case of An Emergency
If you are having symptoms such as severe shortness of breath or chest pains, please visit the closest emergency department or call 911.
