Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH) has won three national awards for patient satisfaction: Five Star Award for Physician Office Systems for Peninsula Primary Care ; Five Star Award for Physician Office for Castine Community Health Services; and an award for Exceeding Patient Expectations. Blue Hill had the highest scores in the Avatar national database for the year for the physician office awards.
Amy Dobson, Vice President of Clinical Services, stated, "Our goal is to provide high quality, personalized care close to home. We take this charge seriously. Our clinic managers work closely with their staff to implement standardized patient-satisfaction improvement techniques. We consistently invest in training our staff and developing new ways to streamline systems."
Avatar is an independent survey organization which conducts patient satisfaction surveys for approximately 200 hospitals nationwide. Patients are surveyed after discharge about quality of care, including questions about whether patient care met their expectations, the friendliness of staff, pain management and meals.
As a repeat award winner, Blue Hill Memorial Hospital continues to show and maintain improvement.
