Blue Hill Memorial Hospital Purchases Building Adjacent to Campus

Release Date: 09/23/2014

Blue Hill, ME - (September 23, 2014) - Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH) is pleased to announce the pending purchase of 45 Water Street in Blue Hill.  The property, formally the home to the Slaven Real Estate Agency, is adjacent to the hospital.

Work will begin immediately to remodel and refresh the space, as Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine will soon relocate its practice from the Sussman Medical Office Building at 65 Water Street to this new location.  Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine, a department of Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, welcomed cardiologist Dennis DeSilvey, MD in the summer of 2012.  “Dr. DeSilvey’s practice has thrived at BHMH, and we have simply run out of space,” explains Blue Hill Memorial Hospital CEO and President John Ronan.  “Cardiology has continued to grow into an extremely important specialty service that we offer. This fall, Fred Watters, FNP, will join Dr. DeSilvey to help meet the growing needs of the practice.”

Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine is looking forward to the relocation.  “This transition will be excellent for our patients,” says DeSilvey.  “With the demand for cardiac care in our community increasing, we are pleased to have this dedicated space to care for our current and future cardiology patients.”

Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine specializes in accurate diagnoses, rapid referrals for surgical intervention, when appropriate, and comprehensive follow-up care.  Providers are committed to being available and accessible to their patients.  The practice is focused on adult general cardiology, offering a holistic approach that stresses lifestyle choices and modifications to live healthier and enjoy life.  Contact your primary care provider for a referral or for more information call Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine at 374-3930.
