Castine Community Health Services (CCHS) is pleased to announce that Dianna Paine, MLT passed her limited licensure exam in December and is now available to perform chest and extremity x-rays on site.

Ms. Paine a resident of Castine, has been working at CCHS for 21 years as a lab technician. She will continue to provide lab services in addition to x-ray. "X-ray is new and interesting and is completely different from the lab, I'm really enjoying it," says Ms. Paine.  In addition to her studies, she received hands on training at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital working with Becky Comeau and the staff of the Diagnostic Imaging Center.

"This is a tremendous benefit to our patients," comments Jinnie Perkins, Office Manager at CCHS. Of those patients needing x-rays, 90% are for extremities such as a broken leg or finger or a chest x-ray to diagnose pneumonia.
